Ingredients
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 2 pounds beef (ground)
- 3/8 cup water
- 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
- 3/8 cup onion (finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 package cream of mushroom soup
Mix thoroughly 1/2 cup soup, beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion, and salt. Shape firmly into loaf (8"x4"); place in shallow baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour 15 minutes. In saucepan, blend remaining soup, water and 2-3 tablespoons of drippings. Heat; stir occasionally; serve with loaf.
