Ingredients
- 4 egg yolks
- 4 egg whites
- 400 gr sugar
- 350 ml vegetable oil
- 325 gr self rising flour
- 240 ml applesauce
- 140 gr pecans (chopped)
- 10 ml water (hot)
- 7 gr cinnamon (ground)
Powdered Sugar Combine first 7 ingredients in order listed; beat at medium speed of mixer until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans. Beat egg whites (at room temperature) until stiff; fold into batter. Pour mixture into an ungreased 25 cm tube pan. Bake at 889 cm for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Invert pan, and cool cake completely; remove from pan. Sprinkle top of cake with powdered sugar.
