Midwest Apple Crunch Pie

Ingredients

*If making own crust, add the 2 T of finely crushed granola to the flour before rolling out. Heat oven to 220ºC or filling: Arrange apples in unbaked pie shell. Melt quarter c margarine. Beat eggs in medium bowl. Add sweetened condensed milk, melted margarine, maple flavor, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well. Pour over apples. For topping: Combine sugar and flour in medium bowl. Cut in remaining margarine until crumbly. Stir in granola. Sprinkle over custard. Bake at 220ºC or 10 minutes. Reduce oven temp to 375 degrees. Bake at 190ºC or 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown. (Cover top or edge of pie with foil, if necessary to prevent overbrowning). Serve warem, at room tem or chilled.
