Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 oatmeal (uncooked)
- 1 chocolate chips
- 425 ml boiling water
- 220 gr brown sugar
- 220 gr unsifted flour
- 200 gr granulated sugar
- 120 gr walnuts (chopped)
- 110 gr margarine
- 45 ml milk
- 12 gr cocoa
- 2 gr baking soda
- 1 gr salt
Pour boiling water over oatmeal; let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes. Add sugars, milk, margarine, eggs and beat well.. Add flour, soda, salt, cocoa and mix thoroughly. Add half of chocolate chips and blend in. Pour into greased 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips and walnuts on top. Bake at 180ºC or 40 minutes. Note: doesn't need icing, sweet enough. But I have also sprinkled confectioner's sugar atop it or drizzled chocolate over it. Jeanne jeannepie@aol.com JM ----
