Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 chocolate chips walnuts (chopped)
- 2 cups oats rolled
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; sift. Cream shortening and vanilla in a large bowl. Add sugars a little at a time. Add eggs. Stir well. Add flour a little at a time. Add oatmeal. Then add chips and nuts (optional). Drop by spoonful on UNGREASED cookie sheet. Bake at 375� for 10 12 min. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
