Ingredients
- 1 pkg uncle bens long (grain)
- 2 c chicken breast in chunks (cooked halves cut)
- 1 c chicken broth
- 1 c mushrooms (sliced)
- 1/4 c butter
- 3/8 c flour
- 3/8 c slivered almonds
- 3/8 c onion (chopped)
- 3/8 c parsley (dried)
Cook rice according to box. Melt butter in saucepan and cook onions; add flour , salt and pepper. Slowly add half and half and chicken broth and cook over me dium heat until thickened. Combine chiken, rice and remaining ingredients in c asserole and pour sauce over, mixing gently. Bake at 400� for 30 minutes or unt il bubbly.
