Ingredients
- 4 c flour
- 1 c molasses
- 1 c warm water
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c shortening
- 2 ts baking soda
- 1 ts ginger (ground)
- 1/2 ts salt
Cream shortening and sugar. Blend in molasses. Sift together flour, soda, ginger, cloves and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with warm water. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 375~ 8 to 10 minutes. Don't over-bake and cookies will be moist and soft. 52 cal; 2 gr fat; 35% fat. ----
