Ingredients
- 1 ham hock
- 3 lb pole beans
- 5 c water
- 2 ts salt
- 1/4 ts pepper
Remove strings from beans, cutting beans into 2 inch pieces. Wash beans. Place water and ham hock in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 hour.
