Ingredients
- 4 lard
- 2 egg
- 1 mixed spice
- 1 lb flour
- 6 oz castor sugar
- 4 oz currants
- 4 oz margarine
- 1 ts baking powder
Sift the flour, baking powder, and mixed spice; rub in the margarine and lard; add the sugar, currants and beaten egg. Mix in milk to make a stiff dough and roll out 1/4" thick.
