Ingredients
- 3 c quick-cooking oats
- 1 c butter
- 1 c packed brown sugar
- 1 1/4 c all purpose flour
- 1/4 c water
- 1 ts vanilla extract
- 1 ts salt
- 1/4 ts baking soda
Recipe by: TASTE OF HOME OCT/NOV 95 In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add water and vanilla; mix well. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Chill for 30 m in. Shape into two 1-1/2" rolls; wrap tightly in waxed paper. Chill for 2 hours or until firm. Cut into 1/2" slices and place 2" apart on greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. ----
