Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 270 gr apples
- 200 gr sugar
- 170 gr brown sugar
- 180 ml cooking oil
- 160 gr flour
- 130 gr wheat flour (whole)
- 120 gr walnuts (chopped)
- 100 gr confectioners sugar
- 10 ml milk
- 9 gr baking powder
- 8 gr cinnamon
- 5 gr vanilla
- 3 gr salt
- 2 gr baking soda
Generously grease and flour a 25 cm fluted tube pan;set aside. In a large mixing bowl combine the flours, sugars, cinnamon, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Add oil, vanilla and the eggs, beat until well mixed. Stir in the chopped apples and walnuts. Spoon batter evenly into prepared pan. Bake in a 180ÂșC oven for 45-50 minutes, or until cake tests done. Cool in pan dozen minutes; invert cake onto a wire rack. Cool thoroughly. Drizzle top with powdered sugar glaze, or dollops servings with sweetened whipped cream Powdered Sugar Glaze: In a small mixing bowl, stir together powdered sugar, vanilla and enough milk to make of drizzling consistency. Drizzle over cooled cake. ----
