Ingredients
- 3 bananas (cut into)
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 fudge sauce maple syrup (pieces hot)
- 130 gr all purpose flour
- 120 ml milk
- 50 gr sugar
- 16 ml cooking oil
- 9 gr baking powder
- 4 gr vanilla
- 3 gr salt
- 1 gr nutmeg (ground)
In bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Combine egg, milk, 1 tablespoon oil and vanilla; stir into dry ingredients until smooth. In wok heat 5 cm oil to 375 degrees. Dip banana pieces into batter; fry a few at a time in hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden. Drain on paper toweling. Serve with hot fudge sauce or maple syrup or sprinkle with powdered sugar. Makes 4 servings. Pineapple Fritters; Substitute 1 ( 15.5 ounce) can pineapple slices, well drained and halved, for the bananas in recipe. Apple Fritters: Peel and core 3 large apples; cut into 1 cm slices. Substitute for bananas in recipe. Strawberries Fritters: Hull 18 large strawberries; substitute for bananas in recipe.
