Ingredients
- 3 cans black beans (rinsed)
- 1/2 peppr
- 80 gr onion (finely chopped)
- 34 gr bell pepper (red finely chopped)
- 30 ml vegetable oil
- 24 gr sesame seeds (roasted)
- 16 ml lime juice
- 8 gr jalapeno pepper (finely chopped)
- 3 gr salt
- 2 gr cumin (ground)
In large bowl, mash beans until most are smooth, leaving some intact. Add onion, bell pepper, jalapeno pepper, cumin, sesame seeds, lime juice, salt and pepper; mix well. Divide mixture into 8 equal patties about 3- half inches in diameter. In large heavy frypan, heat oil over medium-low heat. Cook patties, in batches, for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned, tuning once and adding more oil if necessary. Carefully remove burgers from frypan to platter and tent with foil. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Makes 8 burgers.
