Ingredients
- 2 oatmeal
- 220 gr brown sugar
- 190 gr shortening
- 190 gr flour
- 120 ml milk
- 14 gr baking powder
- 1 gr salt
Cream shortening and sugar add milk and then oatmeal. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Dough should be soft. Chill. Roll out and cut with cookie cutter. Bake in 375 oven till browned about dozen min. When cool put to-gether with date filling. FILLING: half lb dates, two third water, half cup of brown sugar, 1 tsp. lemon juice. Cook until thick and cool before using.
