Ingredients
- 6 catfish fillets (whole)
- 3 ingredients in a shallow dish
- 1 peanut oil
- 1,600 gr cornbread mix
- 240 ml buttermilk
- 12 gr thyme (dried)
- 10 gr garlic powder
- 8 gr salt
- 6 gr black pepper (ground)
- 6 gr pepper (red ground)
Pour oil to depth of 10 cm into an electric fryer or Dutch oven; heat to 200ºC . Fry fillets, two at a time, 2 to 3 minutes or until they float; drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
