Ingredients
- 30 vanilla wafers
- 8 marachinio cheeries (optional)
- 2 minature marshmallows
- 1,900 ml vanilla ice cream
- 240 ml evaporated milk
- 160 gr chocolate chips
- 90 gr nuts (chopped optional)
- 1 gr salt
1. Line 23 cm pie dish or pan with vanilla wafers.
2. Make sauce by heating the chips, marshmallows, and evaporated milk together until smooth --(I use the microwave, stirring frequently--but you can use a saucepan). Stir in salt.
3. Scoop about one third of the ice cream into the wafer lined dish, drizzle about one third of the sauce on the ice cream. Scoop another one third of the ice cream and drizzle one third of sauce. Scoop the remaining one third of the ice cream and drizzle the remaining one third of the sauce. Top with chopped nuts and/or Marachino cherries if desired.
4. Cover with foil or plastic wrap.
5. Freeze until solid--this takes at least 6 hours--best to freeze overnight.
6.To serve, remove from freezer about 20 minutes before serving to soften.
