Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 bottles
- 1/4 food coloring (red)
- 375 gr powdered sugar
- 350 ml cooking oil
- 325 gr self rising flour
- 300 gr sugar
- 270 gr nuts
- 240 ml buttermilk
- 280 ml cream cheese
- 150 gr butter
- 5 ml vinegar (white)
- 5 ml soda
- 4 gr vanilla
- 2 gr unsweetened cocoa
Mix all cake ingredients together at medium speed in a mixer until well blended. Pour into 3 prepared 23 cm cake pans. Bake at 180ÂșC F for approximately 20 minutes. FROSTING: Beat first three ingredients together until fluffy. Fold in 1.5 cups pecans, reserving half cup to decorate the top of the cake. Frost cooled cake layers, then decorate the top. W.S. didn't say, but walnuts would also work fine. Chill cake one hour or more before serving. ----
