Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 2 c water (cold)
- 2 c brown sugar
- 3 c flour
- 1 c butter
- 1 c raisins
- 1/2 c figs
- 1/2 c nuts
- 2 ts soda
- 2 ts cinnamon
- 1 ts nutmeg
- 1/4 ts cream of tartar
Mix well and boil together for 10 minutes the first nine ingredients. Remove and let cool thoroughly; then all eggs, flour, soda, and cream of tartar. Bake in loaf pan 350~ for about one hour. ----
