Ingredients
- 1 low-fat milk
- 1 3/4 cups boiling water
- 1 cup brown sugar firmly packed
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Combine first 5 ingredients in a 9-inch square baking pan. Add milk, oil and vanilla, stir until smooth, Combine brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa and sprinkle over batter. Pour boiling water over batter (DO NOT STIR) Bake 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes. or cake springs back when touched in the center. Serve warm
