Ingredients

- 2 c boiling water let stand overnigh in morning
- 1 lb coffee tins
- 2 c raisins
- 1 1/2 c sugar
- 2 c dates (chopped)
- 2 cup maraschino cherries (chopped)
- 2 cups pecans (chopped)
- 1 lbs coffee tins
- 1/4 c oil
- 4 ts baking soda
- 1 ts vanilla
- 1/2 ts salt
Peggy Butherus--My version of fruitcake. I received the recipe from a lady over 25 years ago for Hobo Bread and added my favorie fruit, nuts, etc for a fruit cake. Anyone that has told me they hate fruitcake, wants this recipe. It's very moist. Enjoy. ----
