Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 3 c apples
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1 c sugar
- 1 1/2 c flour
- 1/2 c shortening
- 1/2 c nuts
- 3 tb butter
- 3 tb flour
- 1 ts baking soda
- 1 ts cinnamon
- 1/2 ts salt
shortening and sugar. Add eggs, salt, flour, spices and soda. Fold in apples and nuts. Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan and bake for 25 minutes. While this is baking, mix together topping ingredients. Spread over hot cake at once. Return to oven and bake 15 minutes more.
