Ingredients
- 950 ml beef broth
- 900 gr beef
- 240 ml spagetti sauce
- 130 gr pearl barley
- 130 gr carrots
- 100 gr celery
- 65 gr green pepper
- 16 ml oil
- 12 gr pepper
- 7 gr parsley
- 3 gr salt
- 1 gr basil
- 1 slice onion
- 1 package tomatoes
Cut meat into 3 cm cubes. In a large skillet brown meat, half at a time, inhot oil. Drain well. Meanwhile in crockpot combine carrots, celery,onion, green pepper, and parsley. Add broth, undrained tomatoes, spagettisauce, barley, basil, salt, and pepper. Stir in browned meat.
Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 10-12 hours or on high-heat settingfor 4.5-5 hours. Skim off fat.
