Ingredients
- 2 eggs (slightly beaten)
- 500 gr flour sifted
- 200 gr sugar
- 190 gr shortening
- 120 ml milk
- 60 gr sesame seeds about
- 14 gr baking powder
- 1 gr salt
Lightly grease 2 cookie sheets. Heat the oven to 190ºC . Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into a bowl. Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender or two knives, until the pieces are the size of small peas. Stir in the eggs and the milk (1 tablespoon at a time) to make a soft dough. Mix together thoroughly. Break the dough into small pieces and roll each between the palms of your hands to form rolls about 4 cm in length. Flatten the rolls slightly and roll them in the sesame seeds. Place about 2 cm apart on the prepared cookie sheets. Bake for dozen to 15 minutes, or until thee cookies are lightly browned. Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
