Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 450 gr beef (ground)
- 240 ml milk
- 120 gr cornmeal (yellow)
- 110 gr cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 2 gr baking soda
- 2 gr salt
- 1 package cream style corn
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Blend thoroughly. In a skillet, brown beef and onion; drain. In a greased baking dish, spread half the cornbread mixture. Cover this with all of the meat mixture. Sprinkle meat with cheese. Top with remaining cornbread mixture. Bake at 190ÂșC or about 45 minutes, or until done. If desired, spread butter or margarine on top.
