Ingredients
- 300 gr rolled oats
- 250 gr flour
- 200 gr sugar
- 190 gr shortening
- 120 ml sour milk
- 5 ml soda
- 1 gr salt
Mix the first five ingredients together thoroughly. Dissolve soda in the sour milk, add to other ingredients and mix well. Put half mixture in pan and cover with date filling. Put rest of mixture on top and press down. Bake in 350 oven for 25 min.
Date Filling: half cup of dates chopped, half cup brown sugar, one tb. cornstarch, 1 cup of hot water. Cook till thick stirring constantly.
