Fresh Apple Butter Cake

Ingredients

Cream butter and sugar well; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition; sift flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg together; gradually add to butter mixture; stir in vanilla; fold in apples and walnuts; pour into a greased 25 cm tube pan and bake in a preheated, 160ÂșC oven for approximately 1.5 hours; cool; drizzle sherry glaze over cake and serve. Sherry Glaze. Combine sugar and sherry in a heavy saucepan; cook, stirring constantly, until syrupy, about 2 minutes. Chuck in Pok. ----
