Ingredients
- 250 gr cashews
- 85 gr corn syrup
- 30 ml water
- 6 gr salt
- 4 gr cumin
- 3 gr cayenne pepper
- 2 gr curry powder
"For a not-so-spicy version, use half the amount of curry powder and cayenne, Raw, unsalted cashews are available at bulk and health food stores. I like to give these away in half cup amounts in little plastic bags tied with attractive ribbons. Be sure to label them "spicy"." In medium saucepan, combine corn syrup with water and spices. Bring to a boil. Stir in the nuts. Spread on cookie sheet lined with aluminium foil and bake 1 hour at 140ÂșC . Stir every 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool 20 minutes. MAKES: ABOUT 3 CUPS
