Ingredients
- 2 c flour
- 5/8 c milk
- 1/2 c shortening
- 4 ts baking powder
- 2 ts sugar
- 1/2 ts cream of tartar
- 1/2 ts salt
Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening till crumbly. Add milk at once. Stir quickly with fork till dough follows fork around bowl. Knead on lightly floured surface 10-12 strokes. Roll or pat 1/2 inch thick. Cut biscuits. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes in 450' oven
