Ingredients
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 meaty ham bone
- 2 qt water (hot)
- 2 c green split peas
- 1/2 c onion (chopped)
- 1 t salt
- 1/4 ts celery seed
- 1/4 ts marjoram (dried)
- 1/8 ts thyme
Place all ingredients in cooker. Add the hot water. Cover and cook on LOW for 10 to 12 hours. Remove bones; cut off meat and add to soup. Makes 6 to 8 servings
