Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 gelatin (envelope unflavored)
- 700 gr all purpose flour
- 600 gr powdered sugar
- 240 ml molasses
- 240 ml water (cold)
- 240 ml buttermilk
- 200 gr sugar
- 190 gr shortening
- 20 ml soda
- 10 gr ginger
- 5 gr cinnamon
- 5 gr vanilla
- 3 gr salt
- 3 gr baking powder
- 1 gr nutmeg
- some ways from any that i have in my files
creamy. Notes: The original recipe calls for only 1- 0.75 c. powdered sugar. This did not produce a spreading consistency, so I added more powdered sugar. The frosting hardens nicely (no sticky surface) and has an almost marshmallow consistency---no sticky surface but soft inside. The cookies remain soft if not overbaked. Bette Leland ----
