- 9 cake pans
- 3 eggs
- 1 buttercream
- 400 gr sifted confectioners sugar
- 325 ml godiva liqueur
- 270 gr sugar
- 250 gr sifted flour
- 240 ml buttermilk
- 130 gr butter (unsalted)
- 120 ml liqueur
- 95 gr butter (unsalted)
- 95 gr unsweetened chocolate
- 85 gr sifted cocoa powder
- 80 ml godiva liqueur
- 5 gr baking soda
- 1 gr salt
comes out clean. Remove from the oven, and cool in the pans for 10 min. then invert onto racks to completely cool. Chill the layers in the freezer for about 30 min. until firm. To assemble the cake: Remove the cake layers from freezer and brush with remaining godiva liqueur before spreading 0.75cup butter cream between each layer. Spread the remaining butter cream over the top and sides of the cake which has been placed on a serving plate. Garnish with shaved chocolate and serve or refrigerate. Serves 12. ----
