Ingredients
- 2 garlic (cloves)
- 800 gr flank steak
- 120 ml soy sauce
- 60 ml oil
- 30 ml water
- 9 gr brown sugar
- 2 gr ginger root
- 1 gr black pepper
In a small bowl, combine all ingredients except the flank steak, and mix well. Score the flank steak on both sides. Place in a glass baking dish, pour the marinade over the flank steak. Refrigerate for 2-4 hours, turning the steak once. Barbacue or broil the meat 15 cm from the heat, about 5 minutes on each side or until it reaches the desired doneness, basting occasionally with the marinade. To serve, slice thinly across the grain of the meat. Makes 4-6 servings. This same marinade recipes can be used for chicken, pork or fish. --
