Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 salt as desired
- 375 gr flour
- 180 ml molasses
- 150 gr sugar
- 140 gr shortening
- 14 gr baking soda
- 10 ml warm water
- 10 gr ginger
- 10 ml cream of tartar
Put baking soda in molasses and beat until it foams. Mix all the ingredients well and let stand overnight. Rollout and bake at 180ÂșC or dozen to 15 minutes. This receipe is from my Barbour's New Brunswick Cookbook.
