Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 220 gr all purpose flour
- 210 gr raisins
- 170 gr packed brown sugar
- 100 gr nuts (chopped)
- 60 ml molasses
- 65 gr shortening
- 60 gr coffee (cold)
- 55 gr margarine
- 2 gr baking soda
- 1 gr salt
- 1 gr cinnamon (ground)
- 1 gr nutmeg (ground)
*if using self-rising flour --omit Baking soda and salt. Recipe by: Betty Crocker's Cookbook Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix brown sugar, shortening, margarine, coffee, molasses, egg, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 5 cm apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until almost no indentation remains when touched; cool. ABOUT 4 DOZEN COOKIES; 90 CALORIES PER COOKIE. ----
