Ingredients
- 3 bananas
- 2 eggs well (beaten)
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar (white)
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk soured with
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 3/4 cup walnuts (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 325�F. Cream butter and sugar together thoroughly. Blend in bananas, eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, baking soda and salt together. Add to banana mixture, alternating with buttermilk and mixing thoroughly after each addition. Add nuts and gently mix. Pour batter into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake for 1 1/4 hours, or until done.
Yields 1 loaf.
