Ingredients
- 9 deep pie with the pastry (plate)
- 6 eggs
- 5 lard (cut into pieces)
- 1 filling
- 1 nutmeg for sprinkling
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 5 tablespoons water
- 5 tablespoons butter (cut into pieces)
- 1 teaspoon salt
Beat together the eggs, sugar and milk, and pour into the pie shell. Sprinkle generously with nutmeg. Bake the pie for 10 minutes. Lower the heat to 350F and bake for 30 to 45 minutes more or until the custard has set. Serve the pie cold.
