Ingredients
- 3 tomatoes (chopped)
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 green pepper (chopped)
- 2 pounds beef stew meat in (cut)
- 3 cups water
- 10 oz green beans (frozen)
- 2 cups cubed potatoes (peeled)
- 2 cups carrots (sliced)
- 10 oz peas (frozen)
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 10 oz kernel corn (frozen)
- 1/4 pound mushrooms (sliced)
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 tsp salt (optional)
- 2 teaspoons pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano (dried)
- 1 teaspoon marjoram (ground)
- 1 teaspoon basil (dried)
- 1 teaspoon rosemary (crushed)
Brown meat in oil in a Dutch oven. Add water, onion, seasonings and tomato paste. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours or utnil meat is tender. Stir in potatoes, carrots and green pepper; simmer 30 minutes. Add additional water if necessary. Stir in remaining ingredients; cover and simmer 20 minutes.
