Ingredients
- 2 garlic (cloves)
 - 4 c cabbage (very finely shredded)
 - 16 oz black-eyed peas (canned rinsed)
 - 3 c rice (hot cooked)
 - 1 c coarsely ham (chopped)
 - 1 c onion (chopped)
 - 1/2 cup onion
 - 1 tb vegetable oil
 - 1 tablespoon drippings
 - 1 ts pepper sauce (hot)
 - 1/2 ts cracked black pepper
 - 1/4 ts salt
 - 2 slices bacon (sliced)
 
tender-crisp. Spoon onto large platter. Ladle rice mixture into center of cabbage; crumble bacon over top of salad. Serve hot or at room temperature.
