Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1/2 sorghum
- 1 1/4 c all purpose flour
- 3/8 c buttermilk
- 1/4 c butter
- 1/4 c packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c raisins
- 1/2 ts baking soda
- 1/2 ts cinnamon (ground)
- 1/2 ts ginger (ground)
- 1/8 ts salt
Recipe by: -BH&G HERITAGE COOKBOOK Cream sugar and butter; beat in sorghum and egg. Stir together flour, soda, spices, and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk; beat after each addition. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Top each with one or two raisins. Bake at 350 for 7 to 10 minutes. ----
