Ingredients
- 1 1/2 barley (uncooked)
- 950 ml chicken broth
- 240 ml water
- 200 gr cubed chicken (cooked)
- 130 gr carrots (sliced)
- 120 gr onion (chopped)
- 50 gr celery (sliced)
- 2 gr parsley
- 1 gr thyme leaves (crushed dried)
- 1 gr turmeric (optional)
Method: In large saucepan, combine all ingredients except chicken and parsley. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 30 to 40 minutes or until barley is tender. Add chicken and parsley. Cook until thoroughly heated.
