Ingredients
- 1 egg (slightly beaten)
- 350 gr sifted flour
- 230 gr butter
- 200 gr sugar
- 40 gr almonds (whole)
- 3 gr almond extract
- 2 ml soda
- 1 gr salt
Sift flour, sugar, soda and salt together into bowl. Cut in butter till mixt resembles cornmeal. Add egg and almond extract; mix well. Shape dough into 3 cm balls and place 5 cm apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Place an almond atop each cookie and press down to flatten slightly. Bake at 160ÂșC or 15 to 18 mins. Cool on rack.
