Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 600 ml buttermilk
- 550 gr maple syrup
- 300 gr strawberries
- 190 gr am wheat flour (whole)
- 150 gr bananas (sliced)
- 120 ml water
- 120 gr pecans (finely chopped)
- 60 ml am unrefined vegetable oil
- 9 gr non-alum baking powder
- 1 gr ginger (ground)
-(hulled and halved) Waffle: Combine dry ingredients; stir well. Beat eggs until thick and lemon colored. Add flour mix, buttermilk, syrup and oil. Beat until smooth. Cook on hot, lightly oiled waffle iron, sprinkling the top with chopped pecans before cooking. Serve with topping of the following sauce and plain yogurt. Strawberry-Banana Sauce: Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium high heat 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, serve hot.
