Ingredients
- 3 one cans tomatoes
- 2 green peppers
- 2 onions
- 1,400 gr coarsely beef (lean ground)
- 425 gr cans pinto beans
- 240 ml water
- 60 ml cooking oil
- 26 gr chili powder
- 4 gr cumin seds (crushed)
- 1 ml tabasco sauce
- some garlic
Fat grams per serving: Approx. Cook Time: 2 hrs Cook beef, green peppers, onions and garlic in oil in large heavy kettle until beef is lightly browned. Add all ingredients except beans. Cover and simmer 45 minutes. Stir in undrained beans; cover and simmer 25 minutes. Makes about 4 litre When the outfit got back after months out on a cattle drive, the headquarters cook took over.
