Ingredients
- 9 baking dish (square)
- 170 gr packed brown sugar
- 130 gr all purpose flour
- 110 gr pure maple syrup
- 65 gr butter (unsalted)
- 60 gr walnuts (chopped toasted)
- 50 gr sugar
- 8 gr butter (unsalted)
- 4 gr vanilla
For topping: Beat sugar, maple syrup and butter to blend. Beat in egg and vanilla. Pour over shortbread. Sprinkle evenly with walnuts. Bake until topping is set, about 25 minutes. Cool on rack. Cut into 1- half inch squares. Store in airtight container.
