Ingredients
- 1,300 gr pinto beans (cooked drained)
- 1,100 gr cubed beef stew meat
- 650 gr tomatoes (chopped fresh)
- 425 ml tomato sauce
- 140 gr green pepper (chopped)
- 120 gr onion (chopped)
- 120 ml cooking oil
- 34 gr jalapeno peppers (chopped)
- 26 ml pepper sauce (hot)
- 18 gr chili powder
- 12 gr salt
- 8 gr cumin (ground)
- 4 gr garlic salt
- 2 gr oregano (dried)

Reduce jalapeno peppers and hot pepper sauce for a milder chili. Marinate the beef in beer for at least 8 hours. Drain beef; pat dry on paper towels. Brown in hot oil in a large kettle. Add green pepper, onion, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beans; cook on medium heat for 1 hour; add spices, jalapeno peppers and hot pepper sauce; cook 2 hours longer. Yields: 4 litre
