Ingredients
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 size onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 wheat germ butter for sauteeing barbeque sauce
- 2 c pinto (cooked)
- 1/2 c wheat bread crumbs (whole)
- 2 tb cream
- 1 tb vegetable oil
- 1/4 c parsley (chopped)
- 1 ts salt
- 1/4 ts black pepper (freshly ground)
- 1/2 ts oregano (dried)
tender but not browned. Combine with the beans, parsley, crumbs, egg yolks, cream, salt, pepper, and oregano and mix well. 2. Shape into 4 burgers and coat with wheat germ. Chill for 1 hour or longer. 3. Melt the butter in a large heavy skillet and saute burgers until lightly browned. Serve with barbeque sauce.
