Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup broccoli (chopped)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup onion (chopped)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
In a saucepan, saute the onion in butter until tender. Stir in flour, salt and pepper; cook and stir until smooth and bubbly. Add broth and milk all at once; cook and stir until the mixture boils and thickens. Add broccoli. Simmer, stirring constantly, until heated through. Remove from the heat and stir in cheese until melted.
