Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 chiles (ground red)
- 1 ancho chile
- 1 cilantro (fresh)
- 1 c orange juice
- 1/2 c lime juice
- 2 t lemon juice
- 2 t sugar
- 1 t vegetable oil
- 1 t salt
- 1/4 t pepper (ground red)
* Ancho chile should be seeded and finely chopped. ~------------------------------------------------------------------------Cook onion, ground red chiles, red pepper and ancho chile in oil, stirring frequently, until onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Makes about 2 1/3 cups of sauce.
