Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 c molasses dark
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c shortening
- 3/4 c warm water
- 3 tb molasses dark
- 3 ts baking soda
- 2 ts ginger
- 2 ts cinnamon
- 1 ts salt
Cream sugar and shortening, add molasses, then water, egg and remaining ingredients. Add enough flour to make a nice thick dough. Chill several hours or overnite. Roll out and cut into 3" rounds. Bake at 400 for 8 min. or till done. Sprinkle with sugar. Lorna Brown, Prodigy Food & Wine Board
