Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 240 ml molasses dark
- 200 gr sugar
- 190 gr shortening
- 180 ml warm water
- 45 ml molasses dark
- 16 gr baking soda
- 10 gr ginger
- 5 gr cinnamon
- 3 gr salt
Cream sugar and shortening, add molasses, then water, egg and remaining ingredients. Add enough flour to make a nice thick dough. Chill several hours or overnite. Roll out and cut into 8 cm rounds. Bake at 200ÂșC or 8 min. or till done. Sprinkle with sugar. Lorna Brown, Prodigy Food & Wine Board
